The Pfalz Castle (Die Pfalz) is located on a tiny island in the Rhine
River just off Kaub Germany. Built in the 1300s, this unique castle was used to collect
tolls from ships sailing on the river. Directly up the hill from Die Pfalz is the
Gutenfels Castle.
